EZYcount ISO 20022 Ready – all you need to know
The payment system is changing in Switzerland. The new regulation "ISO 20022" is pushed forward by all the banks. In this article, we will look at what does this mean to you and what you need to do to have a smooth transition with your accounting system.

Informations : Changes to the new Swiss payment system
The Swiss interbank system is migrating to the new norms ISO 20022 - an international norm. It define how banks talk to each others. For example, when you send money from your Postfinance account to your BCVs account, Postfinance send this information to BCVs in a specific way or language. The current migration evolves all Swiss bank to the new norm (grammar) ISO 20022.
The issue is that if your accounting programm is not ready for the new norm, it will not be able to communicate efficiently with the bank after the migration.
Do not hesitate to contact the team, who develop your accounting system and ask them if you need to do something. Your bank can also support you during that process.
Changes on my IT and way of working
All communication between bank such as payment information and account statement are changing to the new norm ISO 20022. All these document will be newly XML document with more data.
If you currently use DTA files or MT940 files, you need to change and start using PAIN and CAMT files.
Daily use should stay exactly the same as before the migration if you have a good system.
What you need to do if you are a customer of EZYcount and EZYinvoice
For EZYcount and EZYinvoice customers, your solutions are already ISO 20022 ready. They also accept the "old" files.
You can simply contact your bank and ask them to send you the new files instead of the old ones.
